Craft Fairs

 

Art & Craft Fairs are held at the award winning Building 21, Elsecar Heritage Centre, Nr. Barnsley South Yorkshire.

 

Due to the great success of the Xmas Art & Craft Fair 2010. All Art & Craft fairs will be free public admission during 2011!

So convinced are we of having a winning formula, in the superb Elsecar location, we have expanded the type of Fairs we host.

Our first Craft fair was a two day event, held over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd September 2008. This was a great success, well attended by both stallholders and the public. We have now announced a full programme of dates for 2011 based on the popularity of the first fair.

Handmade crafts with live demonstrations, associated raw material suppliers.

Live demonstrations include handmade jewellery, cane seating, card making, patchwork and quilting and knitted scarves.

Exhibitors for the fair include, hand made silver, gold and beaded jewellery and accessories. Needlework, woodwork, wools and yarns. Outdoor crafts, basket and willow crafts. Rattan cane seating, rushwork, beadwork and machine embroidery. Lavender based textiles. Artwork (watercolours), wooden cards, wood turning and hand made greetings cards. Hand painted glass, including painted vases with lead. Personalised mugs, coasters and towels. Craft cakes.

Popular suppliers are craft materials, wools, yarns, hand made papers and cardwork, beads and buttons.

Directions

By car, leave M1 at junction 36 and follow the brown 'Elsecar Heritage' signs.  Take the A6135 for approx. 2 miles.  Take left turn into Broad Carr Road for 3/4 mile and then take right turn into Armroyd Lane, turn right on Fitzwilliam Street.
